So let’s get to know Kirsten and begin our interview with her:

What are your favorite subjects to blog about?
I typically blog about plus size lifestyle topics…so, not just fashion but wellness, travel, body positivity, beauty, etc. Anything that helps plus size people live better and more informed lives.

When did you start your blog and what or who inspired you to begin blogging?
I started blogging over 8 years ago as a hobby but more seriously in the last 2 years. I was inspired early by OG bloggers Marie Denee of The Curvy Fashionista and Chasity Garner of GarnerStyle.

What inspires you to write?
I get a lot of great feedback from my community and drives me to continue making content that they can use.

Is it a full-time gig, or if not, would you like it to be?
I blog full time for now.

Who are some of your favorite bloggers?
Cece Olisa, Maui Bigelow, Alissa Wilson, Lisa Schoenberger, Kelly Augustine, sooooooo so many!

Where do you see your blog in five years?
I hope that it will continue to be a great outlet for me and a resource for others. I hope to add events, courses and workshops to the mix.

Who/What are your favorite clothing designers & brands?
I wear a ton of Eloquii and I really like the things that they are doing in the plus fashion community. I’m also impressed by indie designers like Jibri, Christian Ome’shun, Elle Dove and The Wendy S Collection.

Is there anything you’d like to see in the fashion industry?
I’d like to see more work with designers- especially plus size brands that we know and trust partnering with designers. Luxe has been missing from plus size fashion. Eloquii’s partnership with Jason Wu was an amazing start.

What are some of the projects you are working on / things you want to promote?
Right now, I have a new venture along with my partner Shelly Carpenter of shellyclately.com. It’s a local non-profit that will offer business solutions for women entrepreneurs in Liberty County, GA where I reside. We just launched in January and are so excited to bring this time of project to the area.

And tips/advice for fellow & new bloggers?
Keep your eyes forward and focus on your own journey. I spent a lot of time looking at other bloggers and it caused me to doubt myself. I wasted time focusing on others and beating myself up for not getting the opportunities that they were getting. It was difficult but I had to refocus and work on my own brand. It’s okay to look around and be inspired/motivated by others but if feelings of self doubt are beginning to creep up, shift gears and refocus.
