About

Hi, I’m Sarah-Jane Morales, the Houston-based blogger behind SarahJaneReign. This blog was started in summer 2016 out of my desire to combine my two loves: writing and fashion. As a Senior Copywriter by day, I’ve had the pleasure of writing persuasive headlines, taglines, commercials and more across plenty of industries, including fashion. Repeatedly, I saw companies struggle to connect with the everyday plus size woman – a consumer who, I believe, wants brands to hear their concerns and reflect them through authenticity and style. At the same time, in social settings, I often heard my plus friends detail their struggles to find the brands who could offer them confidence-enhancing fashion, cuts and trends.

My blog was born out of a desire to help others find those genuine brands: the ones who truly do create, design and market with plus size women in mind. Since my beginnings, I’ve shifted toward a focus on plus size luxe fashion and workwear, two underserved arenas that I’m passionate about.

As this blog has helped me discover more and more about myself, this most recent phase is also my truest reflection of self. 1) From brunch to entertaining to evenings out and everything in between, I love all things fancy. While I may turn to fast fashion for supplementary pieces and accents, the brands that offer quality, built-to-last styles have really captured my heart. 2) I take my career very seriously, and I pride myself on embodying elegance and style through my workday outfits. Through this platform, I’d love nothing more than to show the plus size community that they can live fabulous lives with fulfilling careers, and create their idea of a perfect kingdom little by little.

I’ve been featured on Great Day Houston, Buzzfeed, Bustle, Torrid.com and more. In addition, I’m also a published plus size e-commerce model, member of the ModCloth Style Squad, and voiceover talent. When I’m not blogging, I still daylight (opposite of moonlighting) as a Senior Copywriter and Brand Strategist, working with local, national and even international brands to connect with audiences.
